Location badge reacting on item state but invisible badge symbol / text

Using openhab 3.2.0 stable via openhabian on raspberry pi 4 8 GB 32bit, I observed the badges on the location page reacting but not showing any symbol / text. As I use items file based configuration, I also tried with dedicated item via file as well as with separate item configured via main ui with identical behavior. For details on the semantic model as well as picture visualizing the effect, please check this post.

I tested for different equipment like door, window, innerdoor as well as lightbulb so far.

New to github issues, please let me know what I can share to help finding and solving the root cause!

I could fix the problem with feature:install openhab-iconset-classic in the openhab console. I saw this has been an issue in the past yet, maybe it came somehow came back?
