Currently there are a lot of great widgets available within the community, but it is hard to find them because there are also so many different posts where people only ask questions and you expect something different there.
Your suggestion
It would be great to have some kind of repository linked to the webUI where developers and community members can share their widgets. Then within the webUI there should be some kind of "marketplace" where you can search for widgets and easily add them to your local environment. With this we would again add a great new feature to the really nice web ui and help new users to get started with customized UI's even faster.
Probably this marketplace should also include a versioning of the widgets. So in case some widget gets an update the user can also update his local widget. This update should be triggered by the user as the user might have done some modifications on the widget which would be overwritten during the update. But a notification for the user that there are updates available (like a small badge with a number of updates) would be perfect.
Your environment
OpenHAB 3.1 release build on docker
