So it makes them more visible, specially on snow backgrounds. Or maybe have a new option in the settings for it.

The brackets around buildings and units.

Oh yeah I see. I don't think it should be the same color as the player, as it's an UI thing and the UI's color is always blue. Maybe they could be made bolder and larger?
