It would be great to have access to historic emission factors per network region.
Possibly by adding date_min and date_max query parameters to the emission factor endpoints (as is the pattern for other endpoints).

We had to throttle and restrict data, because as an open API with no auth we were being hit too hard by crawlers and users - and didn't have the resources or capacity to handle it. The new V4 API will require API keys, and we intend on having users sign up - we're still going to be liberal with personal / academic users, but we still need to get it behind auth.

If you're not already on the waitlist for v4 let me know and I'll get you onboarded.

Hi @nc9 ,

I am PhD student at Monash Uni. I am doing relevant research on carbon emissions within the NEM. I am also curious whether I can access 5-min resolution emission factor data through the opennem. It would be great if I can also have the opportunity to have a try on the new V4 API. Much appreciated.

Cheers,
Jinhao
