osm.org hangs when zooming in opera

opera 12.10 on linux.

opening osm.org and zooming in/out with the moousewheel a few times hangs the map area. links and other elements on the page work ok. panning does not seem to cause this issue.
no javascript errors reported.
worked ok some time ago :)

once frozen, + and - buttons do not work either. clicking on the zoom indicator bar changes the bar, but not the zoom itself.

Can't reproduce on Opera 12.11/Win7... Does this happen on http://leafletjs.com/ for you?

I can't reproduce this with Opera 12.01 or 12.11 on linux either.

I could reproduce it with Opera 12.10 on Win XP. Start osm.org, step by step zoom in using mousewheel until Z18, wait at each step for all tiles to load. Zooming out the same way it hangs/lags at about Z11.
After that test I updated to Opera 12.11 and could not reproduce the lag any longer. Seems to be fixed.

downloaded a separate copy of 12.11, couldn't reproduce the problem with it
