OSM not correcting spelling mistakes

Method

1. Go to https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=4/-28.15/133.28
2. In the search bar on the left, type in the address "550 Burke Street Melbourne"
3. Click on the "Go" button to initiate search

Expected Results

OSM to correct the spelling mistake from
550 Burke Street Melbourne
550 Bourke Street Melbourne

Actual Results

Does not correct the spelling mistake, instead goes to an incorrect map location

Note - not a residential address

The web site doesn't do search itself - search is done by Nominatim (https://github.com/openstreetmap/nominatim).
