This rare bug happened yesterday openwisp/django-netjsonconfig#64, in which an auto-registration failed but the device was created anyway.

And here something totally unexpected happened, openwisp-config downloaded and applied the configuration anyway, which should not happen.

It's a rare bug, but it's nevertheless worth taking note that it can be triggered and would be better to fix it in the near future.

This was fixed in the controller.

OpenWISP Contributor's Board automation moved this from To do (OpenWRT) to Done Sep 23, 2020
