Both PRs are complementary, not mutually exclusive, however the one you quote requires specific git versions for both client and server, which isn't an issue here. |

This reverts commit 7fae1e5 as it should be no longer necessary to do a full clone since commit 48ed07b ("treewide: replace AUTORELEASE with real PKG_RELEASE").
