The version crashes.
As soon as an incoming connection has been established on the VPN server after a few minutes the application crashes.
Only the old version 4.38 runs stable as a vpn server.

Which openwrt build version are you on? What device? And can you post a more extensive log?

The package version you reference worked fine for me in client mode on 21.x, but does get me page faults on openwrt 22.x (#20807). I was able to circumvent the error by custom-building the package; a related PR is currently stalled and may have to wait for the 23.x branch.
