.... do I need to give more explanations?

Maybe "on-default-branch" would be a better name?

Maybe keeping a backward compatibility?

on-main makes more sense as it is about the main branch which could be anything but on-master is easier to understand from occasional workflow readers.
Since we only use specific version accross our repos, we don't have to maintain compatibility.
