This moves off the interim storage classes to reporter-specific ones. By doing so, it is easier to add support for pre-canned reporters. Fixes #4

I noticed the current setup hates when Kafka is down. We need some tests that actually use kafka, and show that it doesn't hose the process when it is unavailable.
