Show additional information in gutter

This is a feature request.

I would like the option to see more information in the gutter, e.g. the committer (my use-case), revision number or the first n characters of the commit message.
As a bonus, that would make it look similar to svn blame or git blame (the latter of which is incredibly usable).

I may have time to help with this with some guidance - I have not written a vs code extension yet.

Hi @clawoflight release 0.6.0 brings inline blame.

It's been a long time, so I doubt this is useful to you anymore! 😅
