Check for Inductor Whine

There have been reports of annoying audible noise coming from both the mobo (V4) and the feeders. I have experienced it with the feeders, but another person said they had the same issue on the V4 mobo.

Description

This seems to be coil whine coming from the inductors in the switching power supplies.

Suggested Solution

Please check the V5 prototypes for inductor whine. If it is found, please use a different inductor, regulator, or change the switching frequency, or a combination of all of the above to eliminate it.
