Glassfish 5.0.0 Admin console forcing SSL #727
Comments
Same here. Glassfish 5, Java version 1.8.0_161 on Ubuntu 17.04. Java is installed manually into |
Seems like a product issue. Same issue is logged in glassfish repository |
Thanks @arindam-bandyopadhyay. I'll close this issue in favour of the upstream issue then. |
@Djelibeybi As there is no plan to backport the fix into 5.0 release, I think we need to fix the docker file to use 1.8.0_144. What do you think? |
Does 1.8.0_151 not work? We should pick the latest known-good version. |
@Djelibeybi |
I just tested it against |
Oracle's JDK 8 u161 failed. |
The issue has been fixed in GlassFish (via javaee/glassfish#22448), should work with Oracle's JDK u161. |
Got the same yesterday after manual update on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS . GF5_25 Web profile lost its SSL/TLS abilities. Removing the 1.8_161 Java Oracle version and installing 1.8_152 Server JDK resolved the issue |
This just bit me as well, running on a Ubuntu 16.04 cloud image. The problem is if you apply all the updates regularly (apt update/apt upgrade) you will also update the JDK and this will happen. Fortunately it does not delete the older version. The easiest fix is to do an "update-alternatives --config java" then the same for javac. |
It works good here on my own docker image from centos or adambien. https://github.com/andybe/docklands/blob/master/glassfish5/Dockerfile |
I am attempting to run the 5.0 Docker container and everything boots up fine. I can hit 8080 and see the typical glassfish default page however when I try to hit the admin console at 4848 I'm getting a strange SSL error, see stack dump below.
