Some insight from a new user

Hello,
I just tested Organic Maps (2021.08.14-4-FDroid) for the first time (downloaded from f-droid) and I thought it would be helpful to give my first impressions as a new user.

Note : I'm using the app mostly to find paths through public transports. I usually use the transportr app (which is awesome, but needs network) but it is not working in my new city. So I switched to osmand, which is great but with to many details on the map, and the map is loading very slowl. I also tested magic earth, but is is not free software and it is not offline.

What I really liked in organic maps :

• it is really fast
• it seems to work offline
• the map is beautiful and clear
• you can see the metro lines and consequently use it a simple public transport map

What is missing in my humble opinion :

• I couldn't find my school by typing the name or the address, whereas it exists on OSM (maybe related to Unrelated search results #1151 ?)
• There is no easy way to find a route from a point A to a point B if one of the points is not my current position (for instance if I don't have GPS signal)
• I show only one route for public transportation, and it is not the fastest nor the most convenient. It would be cool to have other propositions (see Alternative Routes when driving (route options) #1183 )

However this app feels great and I'm sure it has a great future !

It is possible, just make a long tap where point A is and then choose "Route from" button in bottom popup. Than repeat the same and choose "Route to"

Thank you it is working indeed.
However it is not as convenient.

Also it would be great that when searching a route you could easily select your favs instead of having to type the address again

The address should be properly saved in history, it's a bug. We'll fix it.
