Hi there,
The 'get repository' GitHub REST API endpoint returns useful top-level information about a repository, including basic statistics (stargazer count, follower count, fork count, ...). It also reports the total number of combined open issues plus pull requests in the
open_issues
(and equivalentopen_issues_count
) field.Because issues tend to describe requests from consumers, while pull requests tend to be contributions, there's a difference-in-type between them, and as a user of the API it could be useful to know how much of the
open_issues
count is pull requests (for example, PyPi displays the values separately when users view a Python package on their website).Would it be possible to add an
open_pull_requests_count
field to the get repository API?Thanks,
James
