How do I re-open a closed issue? I do not consider the issue closed. My problem has not been resolved and no useful information has been provided to help.

There should be a "Reopen" button under the comment field. I highly recommend posting a detailed comment about what you feel is missing.

I already said that there is none. There is only the Comment button.

To re-open a closed issue on GitHub, you can follow these steps:

1. Navigate to the repository that contains the closed issue.
2. In the "Issues" tab, click on the closed issue that you want to re-open.
3. At the bottom of the issue, click on the "Reopen Issue" button.

Are you a collaborator in that repository? If not, you can only open but not re-open an issue.

Nope. I just reported a bug and was told to re-open if the commit didn't fix the issue.

Well, as i said: If you are not a colaborator you can’t reopen an issue. Just create a new one, reference the old in it and describe why it hasn’t been resolved.

I have this issue...and I'm the author of the issue. What's the difference between that and a collaborator?

Just adding my upboat here, the author of an issue should have every right to re-open it, collaborator or not.

I also have this problem, I am the author of the issue and I was told to reopen it in case of more doubts, but under the comment section I don´t see a reopen button, I can only add comments to the issue. Does anyone have an idea on how to reopen the issue in this case? how likely is it that if I only comment, that will be read?

Only when I am the author and the issue is closed by myself can I see the re-open button,
if I am the author but the issue is closed by the repo owner, there is no re-open button.
