how to create websocket with peerjs

I create a listen port

var fs = require('fs');
 var PeerServer = require('peer').PeerServer;

var server = PeerServer({
  port: 9000,
  path:"/"
});

But I cant use the ws://localhost:9000

The web socket is reachable on the path /peerjs.
