WaterFox browser (Privacy focused FireFox fork)

Just wanted to point your attention to waterfox, It's developer by startpage (correction: owned by startpage), removes telemetry & other firefox crap. Also isn't supporting the blink monopoly (what I believe should be considered a privacy concern). It also is private by default blocking trackers & using startpage search (correction: at least prompts upon initial launch to set startpage has default).

It isn't developed by StartPage, It is now owned by a company which bought a majority of share in StartPage. That's it. This is wrong in your statement while everything is right. I don't know/believe that StartPage is the Default Search.

Thanks for the correction, might not be the default. But upon initial launch it prompts "do you want to set startpage has the default search engine".

They do offer so because the Company behind Waterfox has majority share in StartPage. So, they are promoting like this for more StartPage users.

Yea obviously they have there own motivations behind promoting the search engine. But StartPage is a very privacy aware search engine.

If we were talking about Firefox forks, we'd probably be more likely to add Librewolf, it is setup very much how we recommend Firefox to be set up in our https://privacyguides.org/blog/2021/12/01/firefox-privacy-2021-update/ post.

There is some research and collaboration with Arkenfox and Librewolf (and both projects independently test).
