Hello developers! Just a friendly reminder to update your app to use >=v6.0.0 by tomorrow, Nov 8. Sometime after this date, only apps using >=v6.0.0 will be able to communicate with the XMTP network. To learn more about the benefits of v6.0.0 and the impact of not upgrading, see this Discord post.

Even better? Upgrade to >=v7.0.0! v7.0.0 introduces major protocol changes that enable new and expansive use cases, including support for improved participant privacy, conversation IDs and metadata, and more. To learn more, see the v7.0.0 Release Notes.

For most apps built with XMTP, the update should be a drop-in replacement, but be sure to check out the release notes for any required code changes. For example, if you are upgrading to >=v7.0.0, see the release notes for important information about breaking changes that require code updates and the migration path from ConversationV1 to ConversationV2.
