The idea is to document the kernel version used and to document and capture experiences with specific kernel versions.

We use Ubuntu HWE as best practice. Has to be documented.

so just to add onto that, because I have seen people falling into this trap in the past:

notice we use linux-hwe and not linux-hwe-edge, the latter does not get security updates.
