Sound alerts (speed cams) in "free roaming" [workaround] #13120
Comments
It's available though it doesn't function perfect cause it doesn't predict direction of your movement. You can switch to car profile and click my location sync |
Hi @vshcherb I have enabled speed cameras alerts but how do I get a sound alert? |
I think it's not possible now |
@vshcherb Hopefully it will be in the near future. |
I'm also looking fo a mode that allows speed limit warnings without the need to specify a destination. (Context: "here maps" dropped recently such useful functions). Would be great, if osmand could take over. |
@lufebe16, there is a workaround for that. |
Yes exactly. Just like I say in my hint #2065 (comment), activate the voice module for the app session by starting (and stopping) a brief turn-by-turn navigation. It's rather undocumented, but I think should work. |
Right I see thanks

I think we should document it somehow :-) |
I wanted to enquire is there a "free roaming" mode or something where while I am driving, it shows where I am and displays it as though I have set a destination, while warning me of speed cameras?
if so where would I go to show this mode?
