Game WoW broken in 10.15 & HaC 2.6 Intel/AMD #82
Comments

I will look into that thread thank you. |
have you tried to remove all interfaces, wtf and cache? |
I think it’s trying to decode encrypted video. I get the same behaviour (red screen, system super slow) trying to play an iTunes video with hw drm and WG patches disabled. |
my WoW have the same problem, but i tried Starcraft II ,it works good...... |
I tried 2.6 and non of the hardware codec works. |
any updates for this issue? |
Describe the bug
The game World of Warcraft cannot load into game interface after selecting character in 10.15. After selecting my character and loaded into game(when it should be), The game interface is fully grey/red.
Meanwhile the whole system goes not responding including audio output, mouse click & keyboard input except mouse movement. every 10 to 15 secs the system responds to what was input during the period and audio plays for around 2 secs. It will reboot itself within 1 minute (if I don't try to stop the WoW process).
I've tried repair the game, re-installed macOS Catalina, tried WoW starter edition and switching between Clover&OpenCore, used DeviceProperties instead of ACPI Patch. nothing works in 10.15. Googling and nothing similar.
the only thing I'll suspect is maybe the graphics handles differently. And I also saw an issue #42 . maybe there's something to do with that.
Expected behavior
The game should have loaded into the correct state just like in Windows and was in 10.14 before. League of Legends EUW works just fine.
Configuration
Modifications
Added kexts Brcm Patches for DW1830.
