Describe the bug
version stanza is unable to derive vim's version.

To Reproduce

- group:
   description: "Editor support"
   checks:
     - version:
comment: vim is useful for quick edits in the terminal
         cmd: vim --version
         range: ^8.0.x

Expected behavior
This might be testing the limits of semver force. We could explore appending an ".0" to atoms like "8.0", so that they might conform to semver more gracefully. Otherwise, we may consider adding another option to the version stanza, such as match: 8.0 which can explicitly match strings.
