For the official 10.0.3 release we need to gather release notes. They need to contain the known issues here. In addition we need to dig through the changelog and identify the items where admins need to be informed, take action or need to decide on the future handling (e.g. changed defaults, new config settings and so on).

It's very important to have that ready for the official release! I'm on vacation next week so if we release the week after I would like to go through with @PVince81 and take care. If we release next week, someone else needs to take care.

Adding the only one I know of here:

  • known issue: SFTP + keypair regression: #28669 => deferred to later

So far I'm not aware of other known issues. There are some things not working properly in the last beta but I plan to revert stuff before RC1 if we don't have a proper solution until then.

During the upgrade, if coming from <9.0 we have to do lots of work to reconfigure reshares. This can happen during setupFS calls, which may be triggered in a variety of places. For this reason, the CLI output during upgrade may hang (potentially for ~30 mins depending on DB size / share configurations) whilst the system is setting up the shares. This is normal, expected, and correct. It has been known to hang during the app upgrade steps.

Shorter version for docs:

  • If updating from ownCloud < 9.0 the CLI output may hang for sometime (potentially up to 20 minutes for big instances) whilst sharing is updated. This can happen in a variety of places during the upgrade and is to be expected. Please be patient as the update is performed and the output will continue as normal.

Basically the web UI for encryption asks you again what mode you want even if you already had a mode selected before. The admin must select whatever mode they had selected before.
