I'd like a feature similar to Box and Dropbox, where I can setup a folder that will automatically sync the contents to my device when internet access is available. This is very useful for users that travel and/or use a WiFi only iPad.

+1 - that is what keeps me from using it. I have Owncloud running it on my EC2. My primary use is automatic photo/video upload.

This would be a great key feature. At the moment i have to use third party for auto photo sync.

Thanks for your suggestions!

There is another ticket about instant upload feature, #13 certainly we plan to include this within the iOS app, as it is done on the Android one.
About the sync of a folder, this is also included on our roadmap, as a first step, we have recently added the possiblity of setting a file as favorite, this means that it will be synced. In future versions of the app we add the possiblity of selecting a folder as favorite.
Thx

Folder syncing is indeed required ... I hope whoever works on this makes it work similarly to the desktop clients owncloud/client#1766 so that it's easy to pick exactly the folders and subfolders that you want synced.
