Cannot update confit-ui-x plugin

Over the last month or two, every time I try to update via the update button, I get the following error.
Can someone please help point me at a solution?

is your npm up to date?

I’m not sure if NPM is up to date, and also not sure how to do any update of it inside the UI

Run this in the terminal:

sudo npm cache clean --force

and

npm cache clean --force

Fixed!!! Ran that command, then updated NPM, and update installed perfectly.

You are obviously someone who knows waaaaaay more than me, so can I ask one more question?
How do I update node.us, in line with this recommendation?
