This is an alpha release, minor bugs are to be expected. Still probably valid for submitting to speedrun.com, however.

Adds a basic (experimental) timer splitter:

  • When you complete a run for the first time, your final time and the splits from the run get saved.
  • Every time you complete the game after that point, if your time is better than before, the splits get overwritten.
  • Your best time is displayed in the level selection screen.

Other changes:

  • Fixed a bug where the attempt counter wouldn't increment if hints were disabled.
  • The game now automatically scales to the game window while keeping the aspect ratio.

Planned for this version:

  • Fix a bug where pressing space or enter too fast after quitting a level can freeze the game.
  • Add a "run invalidated" warning when the framerate (specifically, game speed) drops below two thirds.
  • Add gold splits to the timer splitter, which would compare against your individual level PB.

Adds a fully functioning demo recorder/player.

  • To record a demo, make sure you've checked the "record demos" checkbox on the menu screen, then enter a level. Your demo will start recording automatically. Please note that this also automatically deletes the previous recording.
  • To play a demo, exit to the menu and click the "play demo" button. This will start playing the most recent demo.
  • Please keep your demos short, recording a demo for longer than 10 minutes will most likely crash or freeze the game.

Other minor bugfixes and additions since v1.7-alpha:

  • Timer no longer blocks the sheep icons on the top-right.
  • Demos no longer drop the first 13 frames after restarting.
  • The "record demos" checkbox is always visible.
  • Level attempt counters don't increase from playing demos anymore.
  • Demos now start playing from the level you started recording on.
  • Added back debug mode (Ctrl+T)
  • Added demo debugging to debug mode.
  • Added level end triggers (goals) to debug mode.
  • Hints are now disabled by default.
  • Removed the broken scoreboard buttons from the main menu.

Note: Includes a quick patch for a bug where the timer would reset on every level, even causing demos to corrupt.

Clicking the timer now pauses it instead of switching your sheep to Shaun.

The timer now appears on top of the level end screen, making it easier to see in screenshots.

Fixed a bug* in Home Sheep Home where the level 10 music would keep playing after exiting to menu.

* Even if it wasn't a bug, it's still annoying when practicing individual levels.

This is an alpha release. Features present in this version are still very new and unpolished, bugs are to be expected.

Adds demo recording functionality.

Known (major) bugs:

  • The "record demos" check-mark doesn't appear until after you've entered and exited a level.
  • When recording a demo, inputs in the first few frames after resetting a level are dropped.
  • Demos will always start playing on level 1, no matter what level you started recording on.
  • The timer's text box blocks you from clicking on the Timmy and Shaun sheep icons on the top-right.
  • Level attempt counters will increase from playing a demo.
