Hi β I'm Paul. I design systems for exploring inhospitable places (space-adjacent work), build small data tooling, and occasionally teach computers to read messy handwriting. I hold a PhD in Exploration Systems Design from Arizona State University, where my research focused on the "Development, Implementation, and Impacts of Novelty Detection Systems for Mission Operations." This involved identifying anomalies in large-scale datasets from missions like the Mars Curiosity rover (Mastcam), the Roman Space Telescope (WFI), and the ASTHROS stratospheric balloon observatory. I also serve as a Coach at Major League Hacking.

If you'd like deeper summaries of any repo (README, top files, tech stack), tell me which ones and I'll fetch and summarize them.
- I iterate quickly: design β simulate β test with realistic datasets.
- I prefer reproducible notebooks and small, well-documented tools for sharing results.
- Outside of work: I enjoy hardware tinkering, small flight projects, and teaching at hackathons.
