When one compares the list in

https://github.com/papyri/idp.data/tree/master/APIS

With the list in the navigator

https://papyri.info/browse/apis/

there are two differences.

  1. in navigator browse there are got and gothenburg. gothenburg leads to a list of entries and has the corresponding files at

https://github.com/papyri/idp.data/tree/master/APIS/gothenburg

there are no corresponding APIS files at https://github.com/papyri/idp.data/tree/master/APIS/got which is probably correct, I reckon. There is probably some erroneous idno which on reindexing is creating a 'mythical' https://github.com/papyri/idp.data/tree/master/APIS/got entry.

  1. in navigator browse there is morgan but there are no corresponding files at

https://github.com/papyri/idp.data/tree/master/APIS/morgan

These would be the Pierpont Morgan Museum records. There are a number of papyri published from this collection: the P.Amh. ones.

  • so questions. Did Duke never receive MARC files / XML files from the Pierpont collection? Were they made for APIS? I assume they were (have asked Rodney via mail).
  • if there are files can they please be made available on github. It would be nice to be able to make changes to link up the collection information to the texts and metadata of the relevant items.

gothenburg.apis.3 itself had the idno got.apis.3. Which is just wrong. I've fixed it. As for the Morgan APIS, apparently I added that to the collections.rdf (https://github.com/papyri/idp.data/blame/master/RDF/collection.rdf#L1275) years ago. No idea why. Maybe we'd been told we would get records from them? But I don't believe we ever did.

Note to myself: Rodney (unsure whether he has files, will check) thinks that David Ratzan may have access to files.
