I'd like to be able to see the password I've pasted in from where I keep my notes encryption password. I'm paranoid I'll have copied the wrong text somehow, so I have to paste it into my document to check that I pasted, delete it, then encrypt.

A simple "Show Password" checkbox would save clicks and be less error prone, while still giving users the privacy by default.

What dialog are we talking about?

#2893 widgets: add and use PasswordLineEdit component

23.11.0

  • there now is a new PasswordLineEdit component that is now used for entering
    passwords in all dialogs (for #2893)
    • it allows to also show the password
