Often by accident I press CTRL + - which "decreases the note text font size by one point" (zoom out). In these cases the minus - comes from the - key at the top of my keyboard. To recover, I then want to increase the note text font size by one point, and I press CTRL ... and the key to the right of the minus key. This key is =, but it also has the + symbol on it (for use with SHIFT). Eventually I realise that I must press CTRL and the + on the numeric keypad. Could CTRL + = also increase the note text font size by one point? (I note that other applications (e.g. Firefox and Chrome) take this approach.)

Hah, I didn't know that this was a thing. I wonder if I can test that when I try to implement this in QOwnNotes.

24.1.3

  • you now can also use Ctrl + = to increase the text size
in the note text edit (for #2941)

There now is a new release, could you please test it and report if it works for you?
