Welcome to the Hatenatools wiki! I'm a idiot, and put the documentation for the file formats over here
I did mention on dsibrew a possible exploit, but failed to expand on it. Since i'm not able to edit on the wiki anymore (broken captcha anyone?) I'll explain the bug here instead:
Flipnote Studio doesn't check to see if the flipnote it downloads from hatena is a PPM file. If you link to a TMB file instead of a PPM file, and then try to load it, the DSi freezes. Look at "hatenadir/ds/v2-xx/frontpage/" on my hatena server if you want to replicate the bug.
