Spotify Data Analysis Using SQL & Python

This data set contains statistics on songs from Spotify and was pulled directly from gigsheet.com

Tools & Software utilized:

  • Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio (ELT, extract, load, transform)
  • Python with JupyterLab (final manipulation and visualization)
  • Excel (data visualization and dashboard creation)

Project Objectives & Goals

  • Identify the top 10 most streamed albums
  • Identify the top 10 most streamed singles
  • Identify the top 10 most popular artists based on streams
  • Identify the top 5 most streamed songs from the top 10 artists
  • Determine what variables (if any) have a direct impact on the number of streams a song receives
