Better support for perfSONAR on Virtual machines

We have been getting a number of requests for better support of perfSONAR on virtual machines.

I think this is largely a documentation task, but there are probably some other tasks, such as a way to indicate in the LS that this node is a VM.

Also, in general we should discourage the use of throughput testing on VMs, as the results are likely to highly variable.
owamp, bwping, and bwtraceroute are use useful tho, so this should be supported.
