It would be nice to have a tablet optimized layout.
Your new Holo theme is really nice, but on tablets it has lots of wasted space.

Can you provide different layouts for phones and tablets?

Anyway, I'm not an Android developer but I'm a graphic designer, so if you need some suggestions I can provide some mockups :-)

Thanks for the request; I've had tablet UI in the back of my mind for some time, however a proper tablet port requires significant rewriting effort in the UI components (they need to be migrated from views to fragments to allow seeing the roster and a chat window at the same time).

I would really like to see somebody (else) to step-in on this, and having some mockups might motivate the one or other developer to do the required coding.

P.S: we also need a graphics designer for our UI elements: the app needs better tuned status bar icons for different Android versions. Currently, the icon is not only unsuitable, it looks wrong on all android versions ;-)
I would like to replace the current one with something like this, with variations for online/offline, and providing the correct colors for android 2.x, 3.x and 4.x... It should resemble the "ninja chicken" app logo, but with less clutter/details, as it is only some dozens of pixels in size.
