Hey @chrismccord, I can see the npm install issue as described here is kind of recurring in Phoenix (#4308, #4358, #4359, #4390, #4403), and it seems it's due to the usage of node-sass in which in turns lead to the usage of an old version of node-gyp, which is causing all those issues.

Considering that node-sass is deprecated (also: nodejs/node-gyp#2467 (comment)), are there any plans to update that in Phoenix?
