Solving Logi webcam ripple on OSX

Premise

Started writing this on the 1st Feb, publishing on the 3rd.

My Logi HD Pro C920 USB Webcam has a terrible ripple effect when my office lights are on. I have a feeling this is because the office lights have a slight flicker at mains frequency and its being turned into a ripple by the cameras 60Hz refresh rate.
