some columns aren't removed or appear twice

Unfortunately not.
I wasn't able to reproduce the bug in a deterministic way.

not fixed yet. the problem seems to occur when I switch very fast between the states. at some point it crashes completely (no switches possible at all).

It seems to work better now (tested with the local version). However, I was able to get a buggy provenance graph (that includes branches) after switching very fast between nodes. But that's probably a different bug.

I may have found a similar reproducible one.

Create a new graph --> add a column --> add another column --> switch order of columns --> go to Start state -> go to last state. ---> you now have 3 columns.

I can confirm this. The problem is caused by switching to the start state.

Didn't see the problem since the fix attempt by @sgratzl. Seems to be solved. Closing issue.
