just suggest that would be better, if you put "address" into document;
i just confuse between hostname && address (for i use syslog server instead of localhost)

I think a better name would be host, because it can either a hostname (e.g syslog.my-domain.com) or an Ip address. However, making this change can break backwards compatibility, therefore I am not sure, if it is worth it.
