@invariant can you have a look at https://github.com/romanrev/popclipext/tree/master/gist and tell whether it's worthwhile to add it as an "official" extension? Thanks!

I love the idea of a Gist extension. However needing the gist util installed on Mac would be a non-starter for an official extension. It would need to be self-contained (that is, run on stock Mac OS), with sign-in done via the PopClip options menu (such as for the Instapaper, Pinboard extensions).

Ok, I understand you. But won't have the resources to fulfil what you have outlined. :-) That was a fairly quick hack - which, I admit is my preferred way of doing things, following my own interpretation I the KISS principle. But I do understand that from the end-user point of view it might be not the best way in terms of QA.

I forgot to express my kudos for the creation of the PopClip - simply awesome app, and also so easily extendable!
