If someone ends up on my profile on my instance’s URL, they should be able to follow me by clicking “remote follow” as it happens with Mastodon, without having to re-search my account through their Pixelfed client/instance.

This is a fundamental issue for Pixelfed to be considered a good (and intuitive) player in the Fediverse.
