Hi.

I've tried your extension. The insall process did say the extension wouldn't work but didn't give any possibility to stop the install. The installer did say the install was fine.

After reboot the mac won't start and give the question marked folder.

I've tried to put boot in target mode and remove the extension but didn't work.

Could you please explain clearly how to uninstall the extension. I don't know how to "make unsinstall".
I'm on Lion 10.7.4 and on a Macbook.

Thanks.

Hubert

Hey @hcampan—I've never seen a WavTap installation cause OS issues as deep as kernel panics or boot failures, but it's totally within the realm of possibility.

As for a GUI uninstaller: there isn't one yet, meaning uninstallation's still a command-line thing for the time being.

@hcampan,

I think you need to download the source (click the download Zip button on the main page) then unzip that, then open your Terminal, navigate to the folder (probably something like cd ~/Downloads/WaveTap-master/) THEN type make uninstall.

@lpender: the problem with this advice in general (as far as I understand it) is that OSX doesn't ship with the standard command-line toolset (in particular, make) available to users. If people don't know what make is, they're probably not likely to have installed the command-line tools. Basically, we need a simple uninstall tool.

Closing this. As for the uninstallation question, a GUI uninstallater is a feature for a future release: #15
