We currently have acct-user/plex and acct-group/plex without revdeps (removed due to python-2), and ideally we'd like to free these GID/UIDs back to use right? Now I wonder if there are more unused acct-* packages. Hence it would be great if *pkgcheck * would identify those for us.

I'd like to invite @mgorny to share your opinions on this subject - should those IDs be released, or kept?

They should be kept. The whole purpose of predictable IDs is to have them predictable, and collisions make that impossible. There's explicit tag for removed users/groups in uid-gid.txt.

This is yet another feature request that requires a revdeps cache (#285) in order to be sanely implemented.

@mgorny Okay, so that's for ::gentoo. This should be useful for GURU and overlays though, right?
