Please check the usability of the principal with an engineer that is able to calculate the ressource constraints. In my opinion active AMG is very energy consuming, and passive AGM is not able to provide enough water. I really like the idea of AGM in general, but I am very skeptic towards its feasibility.

According to wikipedia, the method with the worst carbon footprint:

As well, it may provide enough for drinking and cooking, but not other needs, according to: http://www.treehugger.com/clean-water/the-low-down-on-home-water-makers-and-7-to-choose-from.html

The technology is made for emergency situations, and its way cheaper to filter chlorine out of municipal water, or purifying water taken of a river or a lake, and you will still depend on the humidity of the air, so on hot and dry days, were water needs are the highest, the system will provide little to no output.

In certain climates it is possible to build a passive system, which does not use energy at all (Incas have used it in South America).
