What effect would including fields: ['name'] have in the context of the example here?

We want to be able to ignore some fields, some routes and some resolvers. Have you got a more intuitive configuration example?
I don't think this format would work because of multiple GET routes:
GET
/entities
/entities/:id
/entities/:id/relation
We should be able to ignore each of them.
