Add extension to Notes file.

Ok, this is definitely a silly PR - but just to get my feet wet and to improve GitHub browsing experience :)

I also added the vendor dir to gitignore since I usually install there my bundler stuff.

Coverage remained the same when pulling 25a3417 on stefanozanella:add_notes_ext into bcf910b on plexus:master.

Actually I had already forgotten about that notes file. There's still something in there I'll transfer to an issue, then we can delete it.

Great! Maybe my next task (also since I've very small time frames these days) could be that, so to have a better understanding of what has to be done...
