Minutes:

• PMIx 2.0 is planned for mid September accordingly the timeline for code freeze falls around mid August.Major features include tool support, plugin manager (multi-versions compatibility), event notification and shared memory dstore.
• Ralph reported progress on plugin manager work, he has security and comm frameworks in place. Dealing with possibilities for optimization for the connect case where the PMIx server does the translation (i.e. unpack from source version and pack into destination) only if there is difference in versions.
• There is a need for similar functionality in dstore, where in the data from 2.0 clients is stored/retrieved from the shared memory while it is stored/retrieved in local hash tables for earlier versions. Artem to work on a similar solution to address this.
• Artem has developed a POC to address issue of picking up the correct PMIx server version in the RM install package without requiring recompile. The POC is based on linker magic. Artem to send out the POC to the community for potential adoption into RM packages
