I've added it to the roadmap to consider it. It could be implemented but for consistency the same search behavior would have to be added also for the regular records table listing and I'm not entirely sure how well it will work when the search term is applied on multiple fields (maybe each field joined with |

https://github.com/zincsearch/zincsearch It however is another data store.. But it gives devs free text search and because of PB events on data change it’s easy to then keep the search index up to data. |

I will have to add zinc anyway because I need to index and search files like markdown and images , and then allow users to search for them and within them. Ok Pocketbase I create an assets table and that keeps track of them. On a record change I then just fire the indexing function with zinc. It’s basically a server side plugin to Pocketbase. @ganigeorgiev is there any future thoughts on how devs can integration with Pocketbase like I described above ? It can either be called a seperate binary or embedded ? |

In relation Picker UI,
It would be nice to be able to search
john
instead ofname ~ "john"
.It would make things easier for less technical admins and also be faster to type.
Here
name
can be referenced fromdisplay fileds
choosen.Implementation
In frontend, when search string is pressed, we can first check for operators (=,>,~,! Etc) if none of them are present we can proceed to send
{display field} ?~ {string} to backend
.Thoughts? :)
