Firmware updates are failing in 21.10 - Did not receive a reply

Running the current Pop!_OS 21.10 and the latest kernel at the time of this writing, that is 5.15.8-76051508-generic

Issue/Bug Description:

It seems that Firmware updates are failing. This issue happened also with 5.15.5 kernel and I believe it started with the new Pop!_OS 21.10. I used this nice feature in the past when I was running Pop!_OS 21.04.

Any idea, please?
